Quilt # 78

This is my first finish since starting the blog - could have finished it a while ago if I had not been trying to get all the quilts on a blog.  One of mt friends got a long arm.  I had never used one before - had always used my sewing machine.  I've really never been a big fan of all over meander quilting but it sure is easy!  I'd like to learn how to do more with the long arm - I guess I need to make a bunch of smallish quilts and just practice when Marie is not using her long arm.  I made this quilt for my son - I had seen the pattern at a quilt shop and liked it.  I like how it turned out.  I pieced the back, too, and I like it too.  I decided to take another shortcut (the quilt is for my son so it's okay) too - I machine sewed the binding.  It worked just fine.
