Christmas Table Runner

Jenny decided that she really liked having a table runner on her coffee table during the Halloween season, so she has asked for one for every season! Here is the Christmas one that I will take over other today.

The quilting looks pretty good on the top but there are still some bad tangles on the back but much improved over my first few attempts with my new quilting machine. If I keep improving I will be a happy quilter before long!

I have also been making stockings for the Children's hospital. Need to get back to that for the next few days so that I can hand them over on Dec. 1st.

Sweet Sixteen

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a Sweet Sixteen quilting machine. It arrived when I had company and then I was off to Austin to nurse my son through knee surgery, so I haven't had much time to use it. And I can tell it is going to have a definite learning curve attached to it! I've been having trouble with the tension though it was better on the Christmas table runner that I just finished. Not wonderful yet but better. Think I will really love having it once I get proficient at using it!
